BBABA engages in various religious and cultural activities every year across various parts of the UK, mainly in London and in the North West Area to propagate hindu culture and to encourage younger generation to become more involved in our several spiritual and social activities.

We organise various festivals throughout the year including :
Maha Shivratri: This is a festival dedicated to Lord Shiva and is normally held around February/March every year, where people devote the whole night to Lord Shiva making offerings and listening to verses from Scriptures.

Krishna Janmasthami: This is a festival to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna and is carried out in the night to midnight when the Lord took birth.

Navrati Festival: This is a festival which goes over 9 days worshipping the nine forms of Goddess Durga.

Ganesh Chaturthi and Immersion: This is a festival worshiping Lord Ganesha. Prayers go on for three nights for 24 hours and on the 4th day, Lord Ganesha’s Idol is then immersed in the sea. A procession is held on the 4th day just before the immersion.
We also organise monthly readings from Our Holy Book the “Bhagwad Gita” in people’s houses.

All these festivals are activities organised by volunteers of BBABA and free food and refreshments are provided to all those who attend. All the food is home made and prepared by the volunteers from our charity.
